Christie’s is honoured and delighted to present this magnificent and possibly unique rose gold and diamond-set Nautilus Flyback Chronograph reference 5980/1400R-012 – one of the rarest of all modern Nautilus, in fact it is so little known that most collectors may never have heard of or seen it before. To the best of our knowledge this is the first example of the reference ever to be offered at international auction. In immaculate condition with full set of accessories, it furthermore features a striking bright red hand for the 60-minute register - this red hand is thought to be a unique feature of the present watch. To date, there are no other known examples of this reference with a red register hand.
