We are extremely proud to present here a phenomenal jewelled horological creation by the legendary New York jewellers Harry Winston.
Anyone who sees this spectacular diamond-set white gold quadruple tourbillon pocket watch cannot fail to be awe-inspired. Sold to the present owner in 2022, it has an impressive 57.2 mm. diameter case set with 273 baguette and emerald-cut diamonds of D-F colour and IF-VVS clarity, it is little wonder that this one-of-a-kind piece has been described as “dazzling like a thousand stars”.
In order for the watch to be displayed to greatest advantage, it is supplied with an equally remarkable 18k white gold architectural stand set with aventurine marquetry and 18 diamonds. The design of the stand echoes the neo-classical entrance to Harry Winston’s iconic 5th Avenue, New York store. Furthermore, it is accompanied by the original Harry Winston fitted case, Certificate and booklet.
Named ‘The Ultimate Quadri Tourbillon’, the present watch was made to conclude the series of ‘Histoire de Tourbillon’ watches which started 10 years earlier to present the tourbillon in a variety of dramatic new forms. To complement the 10th ‘Histoire de Tourbillon’ wristwatch, a limited series of 8 Quadri Tourbillon pocket watches were made in plain 18k white gold. It was also decided to create a one-off jaw-dropping diamond encrusted version – the present pocket watch. Fitted with a manually-wound 95-jewel movement, composed of 662 components, it showcases not one, but an incredible four independent tourbillons, visible through the openworked dial. Each tourbillon is secured by a bright blue titanium bridge. The 12 o’clock position on the dial is marked by a large emerald-cut diamond, the other quarter-hours 3, 6 and 9 are indicated by raised numerals. The skeletonized movement backplate is pierced with the Harry Winston initials and inscribed “UNIQUE EDITION - 1⁄1”.
