Lot Essay

'Fry spent the summer of 1915 visiting his sister Margery in France, then travelling south to stay with Simon and Dorothy Bussy at their villa, ‘La Souco’ in Roquebrune’ (F. Spalding, Roger Fry: Art and Life, London, 1980, p. 197).
