Phemius Points Out the Gods to Telemachus was an illustrative design for The Rescue, the printed edition of Edward Sackville-West’s melodramatic retelling of Homer’s Odyssey. Moore’s drawing illustrates the friendship between Phemius, an Ithacan poet, and Telemachus, the son of Odysseus.
