VARIOUS MAKERS, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
Comprising:
A rectangular enameled silver trompe l'oeil tea caddy, engraved and enameled to imitate various tax bands and labels, with hinged cover and internal cover with ring pull, mark of Ivan Khlebnikov, Moscow, 1899-1908;
A rectangular cut-glass tea caddy, the body decorated with various facets, the underside cut to read Vasily Perlov & Sons [Tea Company], with silver-plated mounts engraved T.A-G, apparently unmarked, late 19th century;
A rectangular silver trompe l'oeil cigar box, engraved throughout to imitate various tax bands and labels, with hinged cover, mark of Gustav Klingert, Moscow, 1890, with later import marks;
A rectangular silver and niello cigarette case, decorated throughout with scrolls, foliage, and flower heads, the cover with bars surrounding the word 'Caucasus' in Russian, with side strike over a vesta compartment and with further small compartment to the back, maker's mark Cyrillic 'D.N.', Moscow, circa 1890;
A rectangular silver and niello cigarette case, the cover decorated with two hounds attacking a stag in the forest, the stag engraved with a monogram, the underside with a bird amongst scrolling foliage emerging from a vase, marked on inside of cover with unrecorded mark, late 19th/early 20th century
