Rare example of the most famous issue of 291, reproducing five "mechanical portraits" by Picabia. The title image depicts Alfred Stieglitz and this work also includes the "Portrait d'une jeune fille américaine dans l'état de nudité" as a sparkplug.
Six folio pages, unfolded to a total size of 420 x 847mm (sight size). Offset lithograph in colors, printed on japon paper. Matted (unexamined outside of mat).
