The way the fur is executed on this pair of cloisonné enamel buddhist lions may be compared to a pair of cloisonné enamel rabbits dated from the Qianlong reign preserved in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, nos. 23.658 and 23.630, illustrated in Béatrice Quette, Cloisonné.
