Remarkably, the present lot was originally gifted to a Texas gentleman in 1969 for his graduation from his family. It remained in his possession until September 2022. Interestingly, the case number of the present timepiece is only four numbers apart from the iconic Rolex Daytona owned by Paul Newman.
