Extremely rare, unusual, and dating to circa 1940s, the present Cartier highly resembles a Santos Dumont timepiece but with an interesting square case without traditional lugs. So-called the 'Santos Carrée à Coins Coupés' by some collectors, very few of these timepieces are believe to have been manufactured.
The watch features a tasteful blend of satin finishing with a high-polish riveted and stepped Santos bezel. The case and clasp feature French eagle hallmarks throughout which are overall well-preserved, an octagonal Santos crown with blue cabochon, and is powered by a European Watch and Clock Co. Inc. movement.
