Released in 1997, the Aquanaut reference 5066 was the very first wristwatch from Patek Philippe to be fitted with a composite, called 'tropical' strap. Introduced as a limited edition of 1'000 pieces at first, the well-received model was launched to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the celebrated Nautilus. Water-resistant to 120 m. like the Nautilus, its main characteristics are the cushion-shaped case, the textured dial matching the 'tropical' strap and the octagonal bezel.
