THE GLASS SOUTH GERMANY, LATE 17TH CENTURY, SOME MOUNTS AUGSBURG, CIRCA 1695, THE OVAL BOXES MARK OF MATTHÄUS BAUER, AUGSBURG, 1690-1695, THE OCTAGONAL BOWL MARK OF HIERONYMUS PELLER, NUREMBERG, 1692-1695, THE CASE LATE 18TH CENTURY
The case covered in tooled brown leather, with hinged cover, the green leather interior with four drawers and brass drawer pulls, fitted with twenty silver and glass implements, comprising four ruby glass octagonal bottles and two rectangular bottles all with engine-turned silver-gilt stoppers, a ruby glass beaker, a pair of ruby glass jars with silver-gilt covers, four cylindrical silver-gilt pots and covers, two silver-gilt oval boxes and two heart-shaped boxes with Zwischengoldglas covers; an octagonal silver-gilt bowl engraved with flowers and with base engraved EHLIBSTE* CHRISTOPH. DOMEYR. V. MARIA. MAGDALENA. DESEN. and dated 1683, a silver-gilt funnel, and a medicine spoon, bases of oval boxes and bowl with maker's mark and town mark, marked throughout with later French control marks
