Pear-shaped, on oval bases chased with fluted border, the fluted oval baluster bodies and with screw-off covers chased with fluted bands and with baluster finials, marked on bases with maker and town marks, neck mount of one with later Dutch control mark
9 ¾ in. (24.8 cm.) and 10 in. (25.4 cm.) high

Lot Essay

Augsburg goldsmith Tobias Baur (b. 1660) became a master in Augsburg by 1685, and was known for his silver-gilt mounting of ruby glass, with numerous examples surviving today.
