Lot Essay

The JTM 45 MK II and its accompanying anniversary edition amp both share a custom modification – each has holes to the top of the amp, intended to create an air vent to enable heat to escape. Jeff Beck turned up the heat with these on stage, including for a performance alongside Chrissie Hynde at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards at The Roundhouse, 9 November 2011 (illustrated). Beck also played through these amps for the ‘Concert For Killing Cancer’ at the Hammersmith Apollo that same year, where he shared the stage with Roger Daltrey, Bryan Adams, Pete Townshend and Debbie Harry.
