Lot Essay

A very similar dish of the same size (14 cm.) and with the same depiction of fruits on the front and the gilt cracked-ice coral-ground reverse and gilt Qianlong seal mark, is in the Baur Collection, Geneva, and illustrated by J. Ayers in Chinese Ceramics in The Baur Collection, Volume 2, Geneva, 199, p. 136, no. 244.
