A late 19th-Century lacquered-brass 3-inch refracting telescope, unsigned, the 40½ins. (103cm.) long body-tube with rack and pinion focusing, objective, glass dust cap and starfinder, with steadying bar adjusted by rack and pinion and tapering column support on tripod stand, the cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, with four eyepieces, in fitted mahogany case -- 43¼in. (110cm.) long, with two brass carrying handles and the associated lacquered-brass and mahogany tripod -- 65in. (165cm.) long
