'Poy' was the cartoonist for the London Evening News (1913-35) and Daily Mail (1935-38). His most famous creations were amongst others, 'John Citizen' who is represented in these lots. Philip Connard, R.A. once described him as: "the prettiest draughtsman of all cartoonists".
