Lot Essay

Offered in very good overall condition, the present GMT-Master features an attractive matte brown 'nipple' dial that is further complemented by the burgundy bezel, a beautiful contrast against the gold construction.

Reference 1675
Following the success of the original GMT-Master reference 6542 in 1954, Rolex introduced successor reference 1675 only five years later. It was one of the longest produced models ceasing in 1980. The yellow gold version of reference 1675 originally came without crown guards was changed to a standard crown guard case in 1967 to match their stainless steel counterpart.
