NOTE:
The recipient of the work refers to Yang Jiyun (1910–1996), a native of Changzhou, Jiangsu, who shared a friendship with Lu Xun despite their age difference.
Qin Feilu, whose studio was named Long Ye Fei Zhai, once taught at Shanghai Fudan Middle School and Zhengfeng College of Liberal Arts. He began collecting Lu Xun’s unpublished lost works as early as the 1930s.
