Wyndham Lewis’ own copy of Blast: first editions, all published, of this short-lived literary monument to pre-war modernism.

Alongside Lewis himself, artwork and writing were contributed by Ezra Pound, Jacob Epstein, Rebecca West, T.S. Eliot, Henri Gaudier-Brzeska, C.R.W. Nevinson, Dorothy Shakespear, Edward Wadsworth and others. Although another two further issues of Blast were planned, they never materialised.

Two volumes, large quarto. Plates by Wyndham Lewis, Edward Wadsworth, Jacob Epstein, William Roberts and others (some spotting, chipping and offsetting, mostly confined to margins of Blast 1). Original card wrappers preserved in part (Blast 1 lacking upper cover, detached lower cover a substantial fragment; Blast 2 upper worn at extremities and splitting from hinge, lacking lower cover; both volumes rebacked with card).
