IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar TOP GUN Edition “Mojave Desert” reference IW503004
Made in collaboration with TOP GUN, the IWC reference IW503004 Big Pilot’s Perpetual Calendar “Mojave Desert” is the Maison's first wristwatch to utilize a sand-colored ceramic case, prominently measuring 46.5 mm. This aesthetic inspiration is drawn from the barren expanses and muted tones of California’s Mojave Desert—the home of the U.S. Navy’s TOPGUN flight school. The matte ceramic case, produced from zirconium oxide and other metallic oxides, exudes both ruggedness and sophistication, offering exceptional scratch resistance and a unique, tactile finish.
At the heart of the watch beats IWC’s in-house caliber 52615, an automatic movement equipped with the brand’s signature Pellaton winding system and two barrels that deliver a robust seven-day power reserve. The perpetual calendar complication—originally designed by Kurt Klaus in the 1980s—displays the date, day, month, year, and perpetual moon phase for both northern and southern hemispheres, all synchronized and easily adjustable via the crown. This mechanical choreography epitomizes IWC’s commitment to precision engineering and user-friendly innovation. The watch is paired with a matching beige rubber strap with textile inlay, enhancing its durability and comfort.
