Lot Essay

The present lot is a reinterpretation of the 'Biagio' table lamp designed by Tobia Scarpa for FLOS in 1968, which was carved seamlessly from a single piece of white Carrara marble. The limited edition for 150 pieces in Onyx celebrating the artist's 90th birthday embodies a vision of elegance and its unique ultramodern geometrical shape commands the attention of any room in which it is placed.
