POSSIBLY ITALIAN, CIRCA 1725-30
Formed of two shells within gold mounts chased with a hunt, the body shell carved in cameo with hunters and dogs in a landscape, the other with a reclining hunter with a dog, the interior of the cover fitted with a painting of a hunting scene on vellum under glass, marked on flange with Austrian import mark for Vienna, also with French owl import mark twice
