Oval with engine-turned surfaces decorated with dots and leaves, with chased borders of scrolling foliage, the cover with medallion decorated with a pair of love birds perched on scrolls and foliage, marked on interior cover, base, and side with date letter P, maker's mark, and charge mark, the flange with decharge, later marked on side of cover and flange with French import mark
