Lot Essay

Patek Philippe watches with quarter repeating only are rare, in fact far fewer were made than their minute repeating equivalents. The present timepiece is raised to an even higher level of collectability due to the rare survival of the original box and spare parts.

The watch is currently fitted with a white enamel dial and is accompanied by an additional finely engraved silver and gold dial, allowing for interchangeability according to the owner’s preference. Both dials are confirmed by the Extract from the Archives as having been originally supplied with the watch. The engraved initials on the case are likewise recorded in the archives, further enhancing the timepiece’s historical integrity and appeal.
