Christie's is honored to offer the present the following Rolex Daytona 'Paul Newman' reference 6241 that has been carefully looked after and treasured over the many decades of ownership.

Among the most highly sought-after timepieces, the Rolex Daytona has established itself as a true icon within the world of watch collecting. Since its introduction, the model has undergone numerous variations in dials, cases, and movements, reflecting Rolex's relentless quest for innovation, while staying true to its heritage. Rolex chronographs with 'Paul Newman' dials have become part of the most appreciated wristwatches amongst collectors. A strong favorite for many and in very good overall condition, the present timepiece features a tri-color white 'Paul Newman' dial with contrasting black subsidiary registers, red accents and plastic tachymetre bezel.

Reference 6241
The reference 6241 was introduced in the mid-1960s and remained in production until around 1969. It was produced in stainless steel (approx. 2,250 examples), 18k gold (approx. 300 examples), and 14k gold (approx. 450 examples). Distinguished by pump pushers and a black plastic bezel with tachymetre scale printed in white, the watch has an attractive and striking array of contrasting colors.
