The Reference 5125 'Wempe'
Made in 2003 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the historic relationship between Hamburg-based retailer Wempe and Patek Philippe, the Maison produced the very special reference 5125 in extremely limited numbers: 125 examples for each gold color, and 100 examples in platinum. This annual calendar wristwatch was available in either English or a German calendar.
The watch’s design - featuring digital displays for the month, day of the week, and date - recalls Patek Philippe classics such as references 3448 and 3450, although this model is an annual calendar rather than a perpetual calendar. The case features a smooth bezel and is modestly sized at 37 mm. Impressively, the watch comes with both a sapphire and solid caseback, and lower registers are discreetly signed 'Wempe' on all models.
