The Reference 5040
The reference 5040 was launched in 1992 and discontinued in 2007, and was produced in two distinct series. The first series bears movement numbers beginning in '77', and the second series began production in approximately 1998 with the movement numbers beginning with '312'.
The 5040 was available in 18k white, yellow, pink gold, platinum, and is distinguished by its tonneau-shaped case, a style typical of the 1920s and 1930s. Furthermore, the timepiece features coveted applied Breguet numerals and hands. It is believed that only 450 examples of the reference were made in pink gold, making it an exceptionally rare, contemporary timepiece to acquire.
