Dated the Beginning of Spring, gengyin year (1950)
Dedicated to Madame Zhuoqun
NOTE:
The recipient is believed to be Madame Huang Zhuoqun (1912-2002), the wife of Wu Guozhen (1903-1984). Born into a scholarly family, Madame Huang was particularly accomplished in painting and studied under Zheng Manqing and later Pu Ru.
