Oval set with panels of Japanese maki-e lacquer figuring Mandarin ducks in a pond on the cover and on the underside chrysanthemums over a pond jetty, within gold cagework chased with geometric motifs, gold lined, marked in cover, base and inner flange: charge, date-letter (O and P) and maker; on flange: décharge
