Introduced in 2008, the Day-Date II marked a significant milestone in the evolution of Rolex's flagship model. For the first time since the Day-Date's debut in 1956, the manufacture departed from its traditional proportions by introducing a larger 41 mm case, responding to the growing demand for more contemporary dimensions. The new reference was also equipped with the upgraded calibre 3156, before production concluded in 2015.
