of tapering cylindrical form, on a skirted foot and with a facetted tapering angular spout, polished wood scroll handle and flattened domed hinged cover with compressed baluster finial, one side engraved with a crest, the underside scratch-engraved with initials and pricked with a further set of initials, John White, London 1729 - 8½in.
