A mid 18th Century three-piece travelling canteen
in shaped tooled leather case gilt with initials and a date 1749 and with suede interior, the three pieces with spiral-twist stems with pierced domed terminals applied with love birds, the flutes alternatively plain and textured, the spoon with silver bowl, the reverse engraved with arabesques, the knife and fork with steel blade and prongs, the latter with handles engraved with initials and date 1749, apparently unmarked, probably German.
