A Cantonese ivory rectangular box and hinged cover with fout mythical beast feet, carved with shaped cartouches of numerous figures before pavilions in pine strewn landscapes, the cover with a carved border of a profusion of peonies, chrysanthemums and daisies, the lower edge pierced and carved with bands of scrolling leaves -- 9¾in. (24.7cm) long.
