A late 19th Century brass and copper stationary steam set with vertical copper centre flue boiler with fittings including water gauge, level test cocks, whistle, blower and other valves, with applied crest embossed 'Birmingham' and stamped '1898', boiler mounted hand feed pump and steam line with regulator valve to single cylinder horizontal mill engine with wood lagged cylinder 1in. bore x 1¼in. stroke, forked connecting rod, rope driven govenor, linkage and valve and spoked flywheel, the engine mounted on a brass and copper plinth, mainly unpainted, wood display base -- 20 x 22in.
