A ¼-inch reel-to-reel tape recording of a chaotic interview between The Beatles, the recording on EMI tape, made on June 6th, 1968 at EMI studios, London, when disc-jockey Kenny Everett visited The Beatles during a recording session, Lennon, McCartney and Starr were completely unruly, singing parodies of The Beach Boys Cotton Fields, Nilsson's River Deep Mountain High [John] and Ray Noble's Goodnight Sweetheart [Ringo]; Lennon and Everett joke about John's recent trip to India, Lennon talks about never having heard the finished version of their recent album Sgt. Pepper...; Paul and John sing a Goodbye Jingle and Ringo and Paul sing another jingle; John votes for Tiny Tim as President and Queen and the interview terminates as it began in chaos -- approximate running time 15 mins.

This interview was broadcast on Kenny Everett's last edition [at that time] of his weekly BBC Radio 1 Series The Kenny Everett Show on Sunday, June 9th, 1968. George Harrison wasn't heard on the Radio 1 transmission but according to Lewisohn ...he was evident along with much more of the recording, when the "interview" was pressed as a seven inch disc by Apple and distributed, for some peculiar reason, as a promotional item in Italy ('Una Sensazionale Intervista Dei Beatles')...
