Further details
Born in 1873, Stanley Thorogood trained at Brighton School of Art and won a Gold Medal Travelling Scholarship to Italy. Although more commonly known from his three dimensional sculptures, including a Knight on horseback c1915 at Brighton Art Gallery, this panel continues his interest in medieval equestrian subjects.
