A Chinese export gold lacquer octagonal games box and cover on paw feet decorated with a central shaped panel of figures beside pavilions in a formal garden landscape, surrounded by a multitude of flowers and precious objects, borders of scrolling foliage and further cartouche shaped panels of figures, the interior fitted with seven lidded boxes and twelve rectangular trays all similarly decorated -- 15in. (38.2cm) wide, (gilt rubbed, minor chips and cracks).
