the arched case with brass handle to single pad top, glass-backed frets to the sides, on brass ball feet, with fielded panels below the circular brass Roman dial (patches of verdigris, glass loose), signed Reid and Auld Edinburgh, steel crescent moon hands, the twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell to the backplate with repeat signature -- 16in. (41cm.) high
