The drum-shaped case with white enamel Roman and Arabic dial surmounted by the figure of a cherub reclining on a nimbus, flanked by floral garlands, the case supported by a fluted tapering column and acanthus decorated urn flanked by further cherubs, on a circular base cast with berried laurel, fruiting vines and stiff-leaf ornament, on a square platform and toupie feet, the twin going barrel movement with countwheel strike on a bell, the backplate signed Brodon Père AParis
