In the neo-classical taste, the ovoid twin handled bodies cut in low relief with friezes of classical figures and bands of berried ivy, seed pods and Greek key pattern, on waisted socles and square bases

Lot Essay

It has been suggested that that the fine relief ornament to these vases bares resemblance to Thomas Wilkinsons tracings of George Bullock's brass inlay designs.
