An Ottoman dagger the watered steel blade decorated in gilt with lines of calligraphy and flowersprays, the jade handle inset with turquoise roundels, one set in a white metal mount to the finial, the scabbard with further white metal mounts incised with stylised foliate bands -- the blade 8in (20.2cm) long.
