Lot Essay

A great patron of Indian cricket, Vizniagram captained the 1936 Indian side to England, leading his country in the three tests. He also organised his own team, which played first class cricket. In 1934 he invited Leary Constantine (Trinidad and West Indies) to India to play for the team. Constantine was accompanied in India by Mr R. King Robinson, who was presented with the blazer during the tour. Robinson was, according to a contemporary newspaper report "possibly [Constantine's] staunchest friend."
