A Russian 19th Century coconut cup and cover,
the bowl carved with vignettes of Peter the Great, the Empress Elizabeth and Catherine the Great and with applied straps decorated with shells and foliage, the cover carved with foliage and with conforming straps, the finial modelled as the Romanov Eagle, the bowl supported by the figure of a naked boy standing on a domed circular base chased with arabesques, apparently unmarked, probably circa 1830 - 11½in. (29.25cm.)
