Lot Essay

Charles H. Lindbergh, born February 4th, 1902, in Detroit, Michigan, made the first New York to Paris non-stop flight in The Spirit of St. Louis. He left Roosevelt Field, Long Island, at 7.52 a.m. on May 20th, 1927, arriving to great acclaim at Le Bourget at 10.00 p.m., local time, on May 21st.
