A large Victorian ewer
of cylindrical form and on a spreading foot decorated with lobing and foliage, the body chased with strapwork and scrolling foliage and with two shell-capped cartouches, one chased with a vignette of two race horses passing the winning post, the other with contemporary presentation inscription from the Byculla Club, Bombay, with a foliate and egg and dart-decorated scroll handle with mask terminal, fluted spout and domed hinged cover with finial modelled as a race horse with jockey up, Messrs. Barnard, London 1892 - 12¼in. (31cm.), 48.25oz.
