with moulded cornice and lunette-carved frieze, the panelled tester with lozenge, rosette and gouged decoration, around a central recessed panel with a foliate relief lozenge, raised on foliate-carved and gadrooned posts, the headboard with architectural pediments and foliate lunette friezes centred with two recessed arcaded panels flanked by male terms, above a further three-panel section centred with a double arcade, the lower panels of the headboard an addition but contemporary, all feet raised in height, English, late 17th century -- 63in. (160cm.) wide, 89in. (226cm.) high
