An English porcelain inkwell perhaps Coalport, of drum form, the well painted with ships in gilt panels on a ground painted to simulate brickwork, between beaded rims, pierced with in aperture with a liner, flanked by two quill holders moulded and gilt with leaves, supported by four paw feet on a circular disc above a perforated base applied with beads above gilt bands -- 9.5cm. high, circa 1810
