A planked and rigged model of the Spanish 74 gun ship 'San Juan Nepomuceno', built by M. Williamson with bound masts, yards with foot ropes and stun's'l booms standing and running rigging and full suit of stitched linen sails with rope bindings, lion figurehead, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, hair rails, belaying rails and pins, gratings, capstan, companionways, ship's boat with bottom boards, thwarts and oars, upper deck guns in carriages and other details. The hull, planked in contrasting woods and with stern gallery detailing is finished in varnish -- 30 x 37in. (76.2 x 94cm.)
