Sold with this lot is a typed note stating "Purse believed to have been worked by Lucy Palmer. This was found in a trunk of inherited possessions accompanying a piece of needlework of the same type, of which the embroidery frame was inscribed Lucy Palmer, 1757
Descended, and sold from the estate of Mrs. Margaret Hutchinson of Old Lyme, Conn."
