Five various items,
comprising: a gilt-lined elongated quatrefoil trinket box on openwork feet, the hinged cover inset with a cairngorm and engraved: "Balmoral 1911" - 3½in. (8.75cm.), a silver-topped cut glass toilet jar, a model of a blacksmith at work, and a pair of George III later-chased and gilt Old English pattern berry spoons engraved with crests, in a fitted case, London 1809. (5)

Lot Essay

The trinket box in the above lot was apparently presented by Queen Mary to an outrider of Windsor Great Park. When King George and Queen Mary were enthroned many of their personal servants received such gifts.
